After years of hard work the pupils at St Catherine’s C of E School, Launceston, were delighted to see their ‘Bee Keeping Project’ come to life.

After planning for two years, fund raising and training staff, the bees have arrived.

Louise Hussey, executive headteacher of St Catherine’s C of E School said: “We now have two bee hives and two trained bee keepers who will be running a bee club to teach the children all about the awe and wonder of bees.”

On Friday, May 20, the school celebrated World Bee Day, learning more about their own bees, how to care for them and what makes bees so important.
