MARHAMCHURCH Primary School is persevering to raise £10,000 for new play equipment, with donations from the latest school fete contributing towards the final £2,500.

The annual event was held on July 6, when willing volunteers joined together to take the stalls undercover, just in time for the special opening by Denise May from Budehaven School and the Year 6 wake and shake team.

There was something for everyone; entertainment from David Herman's Bokwa, hot and cold refreshments, a human fruit machine and tombola stalls were busy all evening.
