THE largest sea pool in Cornwall is due to reopen next week following a £90,000 refurbishment. Bude Sea Pool has been closed to the public over the last few weeks to allow the wall to be repaired and railings replaced, along with a deep clean. Friends of Bude Sea Pool (FoBSP) with backing from the public, previously prevented the pool from closing, but storm damage earlier this year created another setback. For the first time since the pool was built in 1930, Vanstones builders have made repairs to the outer walls and Julian Wolford, of Stainless Studio, donated the steel railings and his time to install them. Mr Wolford, who visits Bude often from his home in the Midlands, saw the damage earlier this year and kindly offered to help by sharing his expertise. For the full report, and a round up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
