Group Two Top Team final at Bodmin — Saturday, August 24

SALTASH progressed to the County Finals after winning on the last wood in the Four Wood Single.

Two Wood Single: Brenda Isaac lost 11-14; Pairs: Gwen Ruby and Angela Wooldridge lost 16-25; Triple: Pauline Cunnliffe, July Fishleigh & Margaret Sargent won 21-9; Rink: Di Symons, Barbara Chanter, Gill Jones & Claire Fishleigh won 21-16; Four Wood Single: Judith Prynne lost 20-21.

Judith Prynne and Angela Wooldridge were back in Bodmin 24 hours later for the Group Two finals of the Two Wood and Four Wood pairs. However, they were defeated in both.

Maud Strout Trophy — Tuesday, August 27

THE ladies of Dunheved played against the Dunheved men for the Maud Strout Trophy last week with the ladies retaining the trophy following an 80-55 victory.

Ladies scores: S Shepherd, M Sargent & C Fishleigh lost 15-17; P Cunnliffe, J Fishleigh & J Prynne won 26-10; P Snoxell, B Isaac & A Wooldridge won 24-10; B Chanter, R Keighley & M Lane lost 15-18.

Tregenza Triples — Saturday, August 31

THE third round-robin event at Dunheved for the Tregenza Triples took place on Saturday with a maximum entry.

Twelve triples battled all day with the winners in a close final being Troy Hair, Margaret Sargent and Peter Prynne.

Thanks were given to the many helpers throughout the day in the kitchen, bar cover, draw and for the competition organised by Peter Prynne.
