BUDE welcome mid-table Tiverton to Bencoolen Meadow tomorrow (2.30pm) looking to bounce back from last weekend’s heavy defeat to Paignton.

The Seasiders were beaten 50-19 in the English Riviera despite being just 19-12 down at the break, but have been in decent form of late, winning three of their last five matches.

Last time out at home they saw off Tavistock, and will back themselves to gain more reward against a Tivvy side that have been difficult to break down in recent weeks.

Tiverton won the local derby with Wiveliscombe 13 days ago and last weekend ended Tavistock’s long unbeaten home record in a 16-7 success, so arrive in North Cornwall in good spirits.

Bude make three changes from last weekend, all of which are in the forwards as props Fraser Martyn and Matt Williams return, as does flanker Ben Tharme.

Out go Martin George, Alex Robinson and Finley Fry as Bude look to increase the five-point gap between themselves and second bottom Falmouth.

Bude Seconds are without a game as their clash at Wadebridge Camels Seconds has been rescheduled for next Saturday.

On Sunday, Bude Ladies are back in action in Women’s NC 2 South West (West) as they welcome Devonport Services to Bencoolen Meadow for a 2.30pm kick-off. Bude haven’t played since a tough outing at home to Bideford where they lost 79-10, while the Services pushed title favourites Launceston for large parts last time out before going down 31-5.
