WERRINGTON director of cricket Adam Hodgson has been recalled to the Cornwall team for the first time in five years for Sunday’s NCCA Trophy clash with Bedfordshire at Redruth (11am).

The all-rounder has been in superb form so far this summer, including a six-wicket haul against Helston and a century against champions Penzance.

He is joined in the team by county skipper Paul Smith who spent over 15 years at Werrington before moving up to Birmingham.

Six Penzance players who played the last game against Berkshire last weekend are missing as they are playing for their club side in the ECB National Club Championship against Bath on the same day.

Cornwall also give a debut to Helston opening batsman Dan Jenkin while Ellis Whiteford, Alex Bone, James Turpin and Kian Roberts are also part of the squad.
