Camelford 2

Exmouth Town 1

CAMELFORD showed they have the talent to drag themselves away from the drop zone with a deserved 2-1 win over Exmouth Town.

With both teams enjoying excellent away wins the previous Saturday, this was a competitive match with Camelford generally having the upper hand. The Camels took the lead after 14 minutes when a good passing move was finished by Jason Cordice.

The visitors, who were dangerous from set plays throughout, equalised right after half time when two defensive lapses let in Nathan Antat to shoot home from close range.

Camelford scored what turned out to be the winner on 70 minutes when an unstoppable drive from captain Dan Balsdon.

The result levels Camelford on 15 points with 18th place Stoke Gabriel and moves them to within four points of 15th place Newquay, who they travel to this weekend.
