In this week’s 12-page sports pullout there’s plenty going on in the football world as pre-season continues to heat up.

We speak to Launceston boss Dan Hart as he unveils the signings of experienced striker Ben Waters and young midfielder Corey Freeman.

Camelford, Launceston and Callington Town find out their opponents in the FA Vase, while in the rugby, the Cornish All Blacks have announced a fifth recruit of the summer, forward Adam Powell.

There was another weather-ruined day in the Cornwall Cricket League on Saturday, although it didn’t stop Ben Smeeth putting in a man-of-the-match performance as Werrington won by three wickets at St Austell in the ECB Cornwall Premier League.

There were also big wins for Callington seconds and thirds, Luckett and Holsworthy seconds as they lead their respective east divisions.

The big game in Division Two East at Launceston was abandoned after 33 overs, meaning the town club sit 15 points behind Tintagel.

There’s also all the latest sailing and bowls news plus RugbyForce helps Bude RFC with their changing facilities.
