ARMED police were seen in Delabole on Thursday, June 19, following reports of antique firearms being present at a property.

Eye witnesses reported seeing armed police and a drone on Medrose Street in Delabole between 2pm and 3pm.

It was later confirmed that the officers were executing a pre-planned warrant, with no offences having been reported.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: “Officers carried out a pre-planned warrant this afternoon at an address on Medrose Street in Delabole following reports of antique firearms being present at a property.

“Due to the nature of the appointment, armed officers were in attendance to remove items.

“No offences have been reported and the log has since been closed.”
