Cornwall Air Ambulance and Breakthrough Breast Cancer will both benefit from the sixth Band Together concert, hosted by Bude Metric Brass at Penstowe, Kilkhampton, at the weekend.

Band secretary Alan Lafferty said: "We estimate that we have again raised over £1,000, though we will not know the actual figure until all the bills have been paid, but I can say that we had 80 musicians from London, Gloucester, Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, and of course Devon and Cornwall, and they gave up their weekend to support us and our charities, so we owe them a big thank you.
