All members of the Guiding movement nationally were asked to renew their promise at 8pm on October 20 (20.10, 20/10/2010) to conclude the celebrations of 100 years of Guiding in the UK.
A beautiful cake made by Clair Roberts was cut by the youngest Rainbow and a leaving gift presented to Mrs Judith Slinn. All were superbly entertained by Passing Showers, with lots of circus fun and audience participation.
Following their flagbearers, the members made a torchlight procession to the Bude Light and at 8.10pm all renewed their promise.
Upon returning to the hall, each received a slice of cake and a special promise badge.
