THE Friends of Bude Sea Pool charity are welcoming everyone to the Bude Sea Pool HUB open day on Sunday, September 25, allowing members of the public to learn all about this important feature to Bude.

After months of grant applications and fundraising events, Bude Sea Pool HUB is almost ready for opening, and will be available for the community, schools and various groups to use for numerous activities.

Bude Sea Pool HUB has two changing rooms, space for pool staff to use for data collection and selling merchandise to fundraise, and space for local groups to take part in activities, including Scouts, art classes, school geography groups and more.

The HUB has already been booked by a variety of groups, including the ASA coaching.

A spokesperson said: “We would especially like to encourage representatives of local community groups. The day will be an opportunity for any groups who may be interested in using the facility, to offer suggestions and ideas for future uses, which will help in making some final choices on fixtures and fittings.”

The official ‘ribbon cutting’ for the opening of the HUB will take place at 2pm and refreshments will be provided.
