Families, fun and fundraising in the name of the Bude RNLI was the order of the day as the 2023 edition of the Lifeboat Weekend took place.

Everything from fireworks to duck races were among the vast swathe of entertainment on offer.

The aim behind the fun was to both celebrate and raise vital finances to support the work of the local RNLI and the volunteers who save lives at sea.

The much-anticipated annual event delivered on expectations and brought enjoyment by locals and visitors alike. Whether people were after a pasty, a quiz, live music, dancing or fireworks, there was something for everyone.

A spokesperson for Bude RNLI Lifeboat said: “A big thank you to all of you who came along and had fun over the weekend.

“Massive thank you to the lifeboat day organisers and the crew for all putting in such a effort. We’ll let you know how much you lovely people raised once it all counted.

“Thank you to you all for supporting Bude and the RNLI.”
