A MAYORAL coffee morning has raised funds for important causes within Holsworthy.

Mayor of Holsworthy, Jon Hutchings, hosted the Mayor’s Coffee Morning this week which saw residents come out in force to enjoy a good brew while raising money for local causes.

Residents showed their support, raising £230 for the mayor’s charities.

Cllr Hutchings said: “Thank you to everyone who supported my Mayor's Coffee this morning in the Memorial Hall for the mayor's charities. We raised £230 which will be split between the Holsworthy Museum and The Holsworthy Football Club.

Thank you to all the volunteers, councillors and the regular ladies in the kitchen for helping out. A special thanks to my mum, organising the volunteers and all the other bits that make the weekly coffee mornings run smoothly.”
