National Grid has confirmed that around 1,177 properties are without power in the EX23 area, following a ‘high voltage incident’.
The nation’s power supplier stated that the issue was first reported around 3.50pm, though they do not expect to have the issue resolved until 5.30pm.
A spokesperson from the organisation said: “We're working to restore power to your area. We became aware of this power cut at 3.52pm this afternoon and immediately began work to restore your supply. We understand how disruptive this is and sincerely apologise for the impact on your day.
“Our engineers are working to get your power back on as quickly as possible. We'll update this page regularly with our progress, so please bookmark it for the latest information.”
High voltage incidents tend to be larger, affecting the wider area and could mean your neighbours are off supply too.
