THE Seriously AwEful Symphonia held a very successful Christmas Concert in Camelford’s Clease Hall — the first since the pandemic began.

Since they reopened in September 2021, they have welcomed a number of new player, who were performing for the first time.

The WI choir made a guest appearance and sang beautifully, and unaccompanied.

The raffle was, as always, well supported with the proceeds being shared between Camelford Hall and the Cornwall Air Ambulance.

The musicians followed up their success with busking in the Camelford Bandstand. Although the weather was unkind, being dull and drizzling, the players stoically played on, reprising their Christmas repertoire and even enjoying the experience. There were very few hardy souls braving the streets, but for the players it was a bonding and team building exercise, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The orchestra is always looking to recruit new members, and players of any standard are made welcome. If interested, contact Liz 01208 880457 or Kath 07788 900530.
