PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

Roadworks

A395: MULTIPLE stretches of the A395 are set for overnight closures and speed restrictions as part of works to resurface the carriageway.

The restrictions will affect the A395 on the following stretches: between Pipers Pool and Kennards House, from Trethorne Golf Club to Kennards House, and the slip road off of the A30 carriageway eastbound at Tregadillett.

The works are expected to take place between June 22 and July 4 with the road set to be closed between 7pm and 6am, including weekends.

Outside of these hours, the road will be open but it will be subject to a temporary 10 miles per hour speed restriction on a length of road totalling 1,697 metres. Pedestrian access will be maintained to properties in the affected area.

BUDE: The road from Sharlands Road to Waxhill, Marhamchurch, Bude will be temporarily closed between 7.30am and 6pm on the dates spanning June 22 to June 24.

This is to enable drainage line replacement works to take place.

LAUNCESTON: Ridgegrove Lane in Launceston is set to be closed from June 22 to June 25 in order to enable blockage clearing works to take place.

The affected stretch of road is between the junction of Dutson Road and property number 18.

BUDE: A number of roads in Bude are set for closures in July as part of resurfacing works which are required.

Hospital Road, Bridge Street, The Leat, Howells Road and the A3072 between Howells Road and Red Post, Stratton is set to be closed overnight between 7pm and 6am on the dates between July 6 to July 18.

An alternative route will be signed on site.

LAUNCESTON: Tala Hill in Boyton, Launceston is set for a single day closure in July.

The closure is scheduled to take place on July 6 between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. This is to enable fibre overhead cabling works to take place.
