PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.
LAUNCESTON: The B3254 between Rockwell and St Stephens Hill in St Stephens, Launceston is set to be closed on August 3 for one day between 7pm and 7am.
It is necessary in order to enable the replacement of a damaged cover in the carriageway by contractors on behalf of Openreach.
WARBSTOW: Buckles Hill in Warbstow, Launceston is set to be closed on August 5 between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
The closure is necessary for ducting works. Access for pedestrians and vehicles will be maintained.
BUDE: Footpath 33 in the parish of Bude-Stratton is set to be closed from August 4 to September 14.
This is necessary as part of works to replace gas mains in the area, with multiple closures and diversions anticipated in the affected area.
It is between the junctions with Bramble Hill and Broadclose Hill.
The prohibition will be in place for 24 hours a day, weekends included and it affects a public right of way. An alternative route will be signed on site.
BUDE: Holnicote Road in Bude is set to be closed between August 3 until September 4 in order for gas mains replacement works to take place.
The road for its full length will be closed but an alternative route will be signed on site.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
LAUNCESTON: The road from Roundhill Cottages to the junction to the south of Rezare, Launceston is set to be closed until at least December 18.
The closure, which began on February 18 is required to be extended because Cornwall Council are satisfied that the further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties.

It added that repair works to a cracked granite lintel on Lawley Bridge is being executed on or near the road.
