PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

MORWENSTOW: There is set to be a road closure in Morwenstow in late August.

Cornwall Council has confirmed it has authorised the closure on the road from Rule Cross to the junction to the east of Shop in Morwenstow in order to enable contractors on behalf of South West Water to undertake water connection works in the area.

It is set to be closed between August 24 and August 28, with the prohibition in traffic being in force for 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained to properties during the closure.

BUDE: In Bude, there will be a road closure in mid August, it has been confirmed.

The road from Stursdon Cross to Coombe in Bude is set to be closed from August 10 until August 14 in order to enable Cormac Solutions Ltd to undertake footbridge replacement works.

It will be in force for 24 hours a day, weekdays only.

Pedestrian and vehicular access to properties will be maintained for the duration of the closure.

LAUNCESTON: Part of the A388 is set for overnight closures in mid August in order to enable Cormac Solutions to undertake resurfacing works to the road carriageway in the area.

The A388 between Tavistock Road and Little Comfort as well as the A388 between Little Comfort and the junction to the north west of Monks Hill in Launceston is set for the closures between August 10 and August 15.

The closures will be in place between 7pm and 6am each night of the works and the closure will be for the entire length of the roads listed.

Pedestrian access to properties in the affected area will be maintained during the closure.

LAUNCESTON: The road from Apple Garth to Medrow and the road from Medrow to the A30 dual carriageway eastbound to the north west of Two Bridges in Polyphant is set to be closed on August 27 between 9.30am and 3.30pm for cabling works.
