The annual Poughill revel and cuckoo fayre, held on Thursday, August 3, was officially declared open by Len Tozer.

On the day there were a variety of stalls including hook a duck, coconut shy, sweet stalls and facepainting, with other entertainment including a barbecue and a dog show. The Bude Motor Club attended and there were performances by CJ’s Dance and Bude Metric Brass Band.

Committee secretary, Charlotte Veale, said:?“It was a really successful day and an amazing turn out. On behalf of the committee I’d like to thank everyone for their continued support.”

Money raised will be split between local charities.
