CAMELFORD picked up a much-needed second victory of the season last night as they beat Launceston 3-1 in SWPL Premier West.

The Camels took an early lead through Shae Cardiff’s excellent finish, before Josh Colwill ensured it remained 1-0 at the break after saving Mike Steele’s penalty.

Tom Crowe doubled Camelford’s advantage just 40 seconds into the second half before Sam Wade’s unfortunate own goal halved the deficit just three minutes later.

Both sides had their moments in chance-filled second half, but Brooklyn Wilkins’ lob in the sixth minute of added time made the game safe.
