NORTH Petherwin booked their place in the second-round of the Cornwall Intermediate Cup with a 3-1 victory at one-league lower Wadebridge Town Reserves last night.

The Badgers are enjoying a good first-ever season at Step Seven and took a 15th minute lead through striker Josh Sanders.

That lead was doubled by defender Matt Stainer five minutes later before the Bridgers halved the deficit.

But skipper Joe Reeve’s penalty on 39 minutes made it 3-1 and that was how it stayed.
