NEW Inn A are the leaders of the Plumbase-sponsored Premier League in the Bude and District Winter Pool League at the halfway stage.
Despite winning losing two of their seven matches compared to Olde Market Inn’s seven from seven, they have a five-point cushion.
As for the rest of the eight-team division, while US Galacticos and Old Orchard A look set to battle it out for third, it is tight in the other half with bottom side US Straight Shooters only 11 adrift of fifth-placed Old Orchard Misfits who have played a game more.
With 15 points available per evening, the standings are set swing back and forth over the coming months.
Division One also has eight teams but it is Golden Fleece that have opened up a 13-point cushion at the top of the table.
As for the rest, New Inn Credibles are just a point clear of third-placed Brendon who are on 57, while Crooklets, The Stowe Aways and Old Orchard Apples are just behind and with a game in-hand.
Bullers and US Alcoholic Avengers look set to battle it out to avoid the ‘wooden spoon’.
On the averages front, Olde Market Inn’s Rob Shinn leads the way with 18 wins from 21 outings, while the rest of the top five in terms of wins are made up by New Inn A players as Tim Cottle, Jordan Masters, Andy Pollard and James Bromell all have percentages over 70.
As well as Cottle, US Galacticos’ Gary Hodgson (12/15) and Olde Market Inn’s Simon Martin (10/12) are also above 80 percent.
In the second-tier, New Inn Credibles’ Dan Cornish and Golden Fleece’s Simon Davey both have 18 victories from 21 frames, while Old Orchard Apples’ Alan Colwill has 12 victories from a possible 15.
Davey’s team-mates Robin Palmer and Cam Davey are also doing well on 15/21 and 14/18 respectively.

The league also recently held their annual Christmas charity night which saw a Six Ball Crash event and a singles competition.
Edward Orchard defeated Josh Walton in the Crash final with Gary Hodgson seeing off Dan Cornish in the singles decider.
A tidy sum of £350 was raised for local charity Adsurf.
