DELAYS to a roundabout confirmed for construction as part of a housing development at Bude, have been described as 'disgraceful' by Bude-Stratton?Town Council.

In a letter to Cornwall Council Leader John Pollard, deputy town clerk Melissa Roberts and chair of the town council planning committee Cllr Leah Deeley, refer to an agreement which would see a roundabout being put in place at the A39/A3072 junction before the first houses in the Binhamy development are occupied.

The letter, which was sent after Cornwall Council told the town council the roundabout would not now be constructed in the required time, states: 'This matter is very urgent, since there are already occasions when the A39 is blocked, once more than three cars want to turn right into Bude. The A3072 out of Bude is blocked if two cars are waiting to turn right out of Bude.
