PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in North Cornwall and Torridge District Council in Torridge.

BUDE: A number of roads in and around Bude are set for temporary overnight road closures in July in order to facilitate necessary works to be undertaken to resurface the road carriageway.

The closures will take place from July 6 until July 18, with the works scheduled to take place between 7pm and 6am.

The roads affected are as follows: Hospital Road, Bridge Street, The Leat and Howells Road in addition to the A3072 between Howells Road and Red Post in Stratton for their entire lengths.

An alternative diversionary route will be signposted on site and pedestrian access to properties will be maintained.

LAUNCESTON: Tala Hill in Boyton, Launceston is set for a one day road closure in early July.

The road will be closed for its entire length between 9.30am and 3.30pm on July 6 in order to enable overhead fibre cabling works to be undertaken.

An alternative route will be signposted during the closure and there will be the retention of pedestrian and vehicular access for properties.

WADEBRIDGE: The A389 between Tregonna Hill and St Issey Hill in St Issey, near Wadebridge is set for a road closure in July.

The closure will be on July 22 and July 23, with the closure in force overnight between 7pm and 7am and is necessary in order for cabling works to be undertaken.

The road affected is the A389 between Tregonna Hill and St Issey Hill from the junction with Ballaminers Lane to the junction with Mellingey Road.

An alternative route will be signed on site and there will be a maintained access to properties for pedestrians and vehicles.

TINTAGEL: The road from Tregatta to Trelake Lane in Treknow, Tintagel is set to be closed on July 7 between 9.30am and 3.30pm for fibre overhead cabling works to take place.

ST TUDY: The road from Beacon Lane to Bearock Hill in St Tudy will be closed between 8.30am and 3pm on the dates spanning July 22 to July 24. This is for pole replacement works to take place.
